TREATMENT OPTIONS
Independent Treatment
Treatment for a growing number of our patients is provided on an independent basis. This is to enable us to use better quality materials and techniques that restrictions in NHS funding would otherwise prevent. This allows the dentist to spend more time caring for you and your teeth. We can give detailed written estimates and treatment plans so you know in advance the cost of your treatment.
Highland Dental Plan
The Highland Dental Plan provides an inexpensive payment scheme to cover all necessary dental treatment. A monthly premium covers everything including examinations, x-rays, fillings, root fillings and visits to the hygienist. The only additional costs arise if treatment involves lab work e.g. crowns and dentures, when you pay only the lab fee, or the insurance excess should you need emergency treatment.
NHS Treatment
NHS treatment is available to patients who qualify for free dental treatment e.g. children under 18; students under 19 and in full time education; expectant mothers; nursing mothers with children under 1 year; patients receiving Family Credit, Income Support or Job Seekers Allowance.
If you are an existing registered patient you may still be receiving NHS treatment but all new patients to the practice, apart from those mentioned above who qualify for free treatment, will be treated either as Independent patients or through the Highland Dental Plan.
